In September 2022, Downing completed certification for becoming a B Corporation, which means it meets the high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
5.7 GW
As a responsible developer, DRD is progressing a 5.7 gigawatt (GW) pipeline of projects across the UK helping to deliver a low-carbon energy future for the country. DRD’s approach is to own, develop and manage these projects throughout their full lifecycle, rather than selling to a third party operator once development consent has been granted.
Meridian Solar
DRD would be responsible for Meridian Solar during the pre-application, construction and operational stages, as well as during its decommissioning. This approach ensures DRD develops the best scheme possible, including through consultation on the proposals with local stakeholders and communities.
